On October 6, 2017, The Queen’s Cups had its Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to commemorate their move to Worcester and also to celebrate their 5 Year Anniversary.

Five years ago, Renee King’s dream to open The Queen’s Cups became a reality when she opened her tiny shop off Route 20 in Millbury, MA. It was five years ago also, that Renee had no idea what the future would bring and if she had made a huge mistake in this new venture. It’s no secret that Renee was filled with anxiety as she frequently recalls the stress she felt during the first 3 weeks The Queen’s Cups was open when asked. However, it is safe to say that five years later, Renee is more than pleased in her decision to bring The Queen’s Cups to life.
On October 6, 2017, The Queen’s Cups had a two for one celebration as they celebrated their move to the Canal District with an official ribbon cutting while also commemorating their 5 year anniversary. And for this occasion, The Queen’s Cups pulled out all the stops. From catered food from The Queen’s Cups, Dell’Ovo’s, Lock50 and Kummerspeck to live music by Ricky Duran to representatives from the City of Worcester present to offer their praise to Renee and The Queen’s Cups, this celebration had it all.

The celebration saw a packed Queen’s Cups both inside and outside throughout the event. Both old and new friends came out to celebrate this momentous occasion with Renee and her staff. All those who attended enjoyed great food, great music and a lively atmosphere as they helped celebrate in style.
So, five years later, Renee has been able to see the success in the risk she took all those years ago. She is thankful everyday for the support and love she gets from family and friends. Her passion has always been to serve creative cupcakes and desserts and with her recent move to Worcester, she has been able to do this on a scale larger than she could have ever imagined.
